The College has been established since 1909 and is state funded. It is also on the UK government world-wide register of approved education providers.
Loughborough College has about 9000 full-time and part-time students of which 250 students come from 40 different countries worldwide.

Loughborough College has close links with the British Council worldwide for support and TVET UK for the development of overseas partnerships for the delivery of vocational training overseas.
The college also works closely with the universities to deliver, foundation level courses, HND's, Foundation degrees and "Top-Up" degrees awarded by the universities.
College Life
Loughborough is in the borough of Charnwood (Leicestershire) and is a friendly university town surrounded by beautiful countryside in the middle of England. There are excellent transport links to all the major cities in the UK with road, rail, buses and an airport within easy reach. The town has a population of around 57,000 people plus a large student population.
Loughborough and sport go hand in hand and is enjoyed by many students. The cost of living is much lower here than in the South East of England. The town has a mix of traditional and new buildings. There is a weekly market, selling everything from fresh produce to clothing, shoes and household goods which is located on a safe, traffic free street.
Queens Park is a large open green park in the centre of Loughborough, with attractive gardens. It is a pleasant place to relax with friends.The high street has many leading retail outlets, banks, chemists, supermarkets as well as smaller shops and boutiques.
Eating out is reasonably priced and there are a variety of different menus on offer including Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican, Greek, Thai, take aways, and of course, traditional English food!
The National Space Centre is also located nearby and has great interactive displays.There are also large open parks and waterways a short bus ride away including Rutland Water, Bradgate Park and Beacon Hill.
