You must be studying full-time at one of our UK campuses and must begin your studies in September 2021

Only students who have right to live and work in the UK and whose ordinary place of residence has been in Scotland for at least three years (not in full-time education) can apply for The Data Lab MSc scholarships. EU citizens who have not received pre-settlement status are no longer eligible to apply.

As part of an ambitious expansion programme to intensify further our world-leading research programmes, Heriot-Watt University has created a fourth tranche of James Watt Scholarships. In Engineering and Physical Sciences, these studentships are fully funded for 36 months, with an annual tax-exempt maintenance of £15,000 annual stipend plus fees (total value £l60,000 for UK/EU students, £93,000 for overseas students).

Thanks to the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal, there are a limited number of postgraduate scholarships available at Heriot-Watt University. The scholarship is open to those who qualify to pay Home fees, and can cover up to £7552 tuition fees. Some scholarship funding is reserved for people who meet characteristics of those underrepresented in built environment disciplines, especially those identifying as: women, BAME, with caring responsibilities, armed forces veteran, refugee, displaced or with a disability. You must live in Edinburgh, Fife, East Lothian, West Lothian, Midlothian or the Scottish Borders.
