The Postgraduate School of Cultural Studies offers a unique constellation of interdisciplinary study in the humanities. Critical Theory is a rich field of intellectual endeavour, covering a range of theoretical approaches to literature, culture and society. Teaching and research in the School incorporates innovations in contemporary scholarship, yet remains connected to the critical tradition of Enlightenment. The expertise of staff teaching and supervising in the School includes: Marxism and post-Marxism; Frankfurt School; poststructuralism and deconstruction; postmodernism; feminism; psychoanalysis; postcolonialism; visual culture; and contemporary political theory.
