A 20% tuition fee discount for all EU and International alumni of the University, including those who studied for a Bachelors Degree at our partner Croydon College, who wish to undertake a higher programme of study. Those holding a full Roehampton Undergraduate degree or Postgraduate award are eligible, including alumni who obtained a Roehampton degree at a partner institution.

Key Information

• Applicants must be enrolling in a programme which is taught on campus.

• This discount is not available in conjunction with the International Excellence Scholarships or Academic Excellence Scholarships.

• All alumni from short courses including Pre-sessional, International Foundation Certificate, International Year One, Pre-masters Certificate, and CPD are not eligible for this discount.

The scholarship is available to all students enrolling in September 2024, and is worth £1500 as a tuition fee discount. It is applied automatically to anyone enrolling on a degree on the courses below:

We want to encourage ambitious students from selected countries to study with us at the University of Roehampton. We know how much the costs of tuition fees, living expenses, accommodation are in real terms, so we have put in place extra financial support to help students to afford to study at Roehampton.

• Country Scholarship A: This award is worth £2,500 to each successful applicants who enrols in September or January.

• Country Scholarship B: This award is worth £1,500 to each successful applicants who enrols in September or January.

Eligibility

We will automatically consider you for this award if you hold a conditional offer for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree course. You must successfully enrol for the September or January intake in order to receive the award. Scholarship will be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount.

• Scholarship A: Be a national of, and living in, one of these countries:- Albania; Bangladesh; Brazil; Colombia; Myanmar; Nepal; Pakistan; Nigeria; Ghana; Sri Lanka; Vietnam; Thailand; Indonesia; Kenya.

• Scholarship B: Be a national of, and living in, one of these countries:- Egypt, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Morocco, Taiwan, Turkey; Mexico; South Africa.

In addition, you must:

• Be self-funded, studying full-time and paying overseas tuition fees.

• Hold a conditional offer for a qualifying course before the deadline.

• Not be progressing to us through our partnership with QA Higher Education, students progressing through this route will be eligible for alternative scholarship offerings.

For the September 2024 entry, we are offering a scholarship of £3,000 for all overseas fee-paying students applying for one of the new Engineering and Technology Undergraduate courses listed below. The scholarship will be awarded for year 1 of study only. Please see further details for full criteria.

This award can be combined with other Roehampton scholarships or discounts in year 1 of study, up to a maximum of £4,000. If you are eligible for two scholarships or discounts, the value awarded will be capped at £4,000 for year 1. Any scholarship amounts awarded in year 2 or 3 of study will be unaffected.

The University of Roehampton provides generous scholarships for students with talents in esports. These now include new Women in Esports Scholarships.

The scholarship, the first of its kind for a UK university, is worth £2,000 a year and will support a student on any undergraduate and postgraduate courses enrolling at Roehampton in 2024.

The University of Roehampton has also announced a new Women in Esports Scholarship, the first women-focused esports scholarships to be introduced in Europe.

Students applying for the scholarship will need to demonstrate talent in the field and successful applicants that join us will need to show their commitment to esports alongside successful academic progression.

Successful scholars will be given priority use of our excellent esports facilities, among the best of any university in the country and have the chance to create and stream content and learn new skills.

NEW: Women in Esports Scholarships

The University of Roehampton has announced a new Women in Esports scholarship, the first women-focused esports scholarships to be introduced in Europe. 

With up to four scholarships available to first year, each worth up to £2,000 a year, the programme aims to improve diversity and inclusivity in the esports industry and to inspire the next generation of women esports professionals.

Initiated by Roehampton Esports, the University’s esports department, the scholarships will offer those accepted onto the scheme a number of opportunities such as a dedicated mentorship scheme, allowing them to connect with senior industry figures.

This is the second type of esports scholarship to be launched by the University of Roehampton, after it became the first UK University to offer esports scholarships in 2018.

As part of the new scholarships, Roehampton Esports will also be partnering with a host of organisations including Women in Games, the National University Esports League (NUEL), Cat Collective, Special Effect and London Esports to bring new opportunities for scholarship recipients, such as work placements and professional esports and industry training. Together with Women in Games, the University of Roehampton will also host weekly women-only esports sessions open to all women in the University, as well as further networking sessions.

The University of Roehampton offers music scholarships to enable undergraduate and postgraduate students meet some of the costs of developing their talents through lessons, courses, or the purchase of relevant equipment. In return, our music scholars enhance the cultural life of the University.

The University of Roehampton offers music scholarships to enable undergraduate and postgraduate students meet some of the costs of developing their talents through lessons, courses, or the purchase of relevant equipment (instruments/strings/sheet music etc.). In return, music scholars enhance the cultural life of the University through performances and enrich their colleges by being available for events chosen by College Heads.

The scholarships are worth up to £1,200 a year and will support a student on any undergraduate and postgraduate courses enrolling at Roehampton.

Students applying for the scholarship will need to demonstrate musical aptitude and their commitment to engage in the musical life of the university, alongside successful academic progression. Scholarships are linked to our four Colleges, and successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the musical life of their College.

There are two scholarships available at each college; eight in total. Smaller awards may also be given. The scholarships are available to students who will be studying on any Roehampton course, at any level, undergraduate or postgraduate.

What you will receive

If you are successfully awarded a Roehampton Music Scholarship, you will receive:

• Up to £1,200 per year cash scholarships for every year of study with us on the degree you enrol on.

• Support and guidance from our Director of Music.

• Opportunities to perform and collaborate with other musicians.

If you excel in sport, we can provide extensive financial and mentoring support, so you can study your degree whilst competing at national or international standard in your chosen activity.

We offer scholarships ranging from £500 to £1,500 per year, depending on your level of performance. This scholarship can be combined with additional support to help you achieve your potential in both sporting performance and in your degree. This includes mentoring, access to the University of Roehampton gym and academic support.

The scholarships are available to students who will be studying on any Roehampton course, at any level, undergraduate or postgraduate. In your application you need to demonstrate your commitment to your chosen sport and your ability to combine academic progression with sporting excellence. Your application will be assessed by a panel, chaired by the Sport Roehampton Manager.

• £500-1500 scholarship for every year of study with us on the degree you enrol on.

• Travel and entry costs for competitions.

• Additional training, support and CPD development.

• Lifestyle support.

• Support to help you achieving sports performance and academic goals.

Who should apply?

Talented sportswomen and sportsmen who have achieved representative honours at a national or regional level, or have the potential to achieve this level of performance whilst studying at Roehampton. Applications are welcome from any sporting background, but particularly those which have team and individual national student competitions.
